Take-Two sells Joytech to MadCatz
As we were making fun of Joytech for some of their more offensive accessory offerings, we bet that you had no idea the company was actually a subsidiary of Take-Two. Well, that's your fact for the day, a new wrinkle for your brain. ... Ooh, actually, wait, you need to go ahead and forget that fact. Take-Two announced today that they just sold the whole thing to Mad Catz.Take-Two says that divesting themselves of Joytech is all part of a plan to focus on its core publishing business. We don't know if it's a financial help, but we know that Take-Two is probably better off spiritually without Joytech in its midst.

I read that and thought it said Take-Two sold Joystiq to Madcatz...
I was like...This doesn't make sense!

I, too, read it as that and my brain was like "Mer?", and I was like "I concure my good fellow."
But upon clicking the link we both discovered we were had. And a good hading it wasn't.

Amazing! I too thought that.

I've never came across a good MadCatz peripheral.

OK where are the angry Joytech fanboys? Bring on the fight!
Oh wait, there are no Joytech fanboys? Damn.
ThornedVenom @ Sep 7th 2007 5:46PM
I think that MadCatz got ripped off big time.
ThornedVenom @ Sep 7th 2007 5:47PM
Wait, that's not what I meant.... I meant scammed!

I find Joytech stuff to be much better quality(and styled better) than the crap that MadCatz pump out.
I hope that this now means that MadCatz will start making better peripherals...

Joytech stuff is crap.
I have a Joytech gamepad which I got about a year ago: it's uncomfortable, badly built, included software sucks, analog sticks are impossible to use in most software due to their weird mappings and they don't work properly. I won't be buying anything else from them in a hurry. >>
